Thank you for taking a few moments to set up your Member Profile on the SEBA website. Below you will find an in-depth set of instructions for you to get started. Although the length of the directions may look daunting, we feel that they are pretty simple. We wanted to make sure we provide enough information for all levels of computer user.

YOUR USERNAME AND PASSWORD
You should have received an email that included a link to this page, along with your username and password. First step is to sign-in to your account. Follow this link http://www.southendbusiness.com/admin/index.asp
Enter the username and password sent to you in the email.


THE ADMIN TOOL
Once you sign-in, you will see the following screen:



Click on the Custom Pages link at left, which will bring you to the following screen:


Your business should be listed as the "Section Title," we're just using Fleurescent Design as an example. Click on the green arrow, and you will arrive at the screen below. In the following tutorial, you will learn what each of these sections are and how to edit them, but please note that after you do any edits, you should hit the SAVE button at the very bottom of the page. This will assure that you don't loose any of your changes. At this point, it might be beneficial to open another window and go to your member page at www.southendbusiness.com. Every time you hit SAVE, the live site will be updated. If you reload the page with the live site, you will see your changes.




META TAGS
We are in the process of doing continual search engine optimization, and filling out these sections appropriately will help your business be found in search engines such as Google. Use descriptive words to describe your business and what makes you different from your competition. It's even more effective if you use the same words in the Content section. After you edit the Meta tags, go to the bottom of the page and hit SAVE.

CONTENT
To help get you started, we have created some areas that you can populate yourself. We ask that you leave the category banner at the top, and use the space underneath. There is a box where you can upload your logo, or a custom designed banner. If you are going to use a custom banner, give your designer the following specs: 557 pixels wide, and the height is flexible. Save it in either a .jpg or .gif format.
How to upload an image:
Select the text "Place your logo here" and delete it. The cursor will be centered in the box. Choose the "insert image" button:

The image dialog box will appear. Click the folder icon.

This will open the Asset Manager dialog box. Click the browse button and locate the file you want to upload on your hard drive. Now the path to your file will be in the box. Click the "upload" button.



Once the file is uploaded, the name appears in the list to the right, and a preview appears in the box to the left. Click OK.



This will bring you back to the image dialog box. The source will now be filled out with the path to the image you uploaded in the last step. Fill in a title for the image, and click insert.



How do I edit my image?
My logo was a bit oversized to fit on the page. To resize, click on the image, then click on the image button. If you want your image to resize proportionately, fill in EITHER the width or the height in the dialog box. To see what the new size looks like, click the "Apply" button. When you are satisfied with how the image looks, click the "OK" button.



The rest of the box is text based, and you can type and format here just like you would in MS Word.
How do I insert a link?
If you want to insert a link to your website, type the web address, and select it. Click on the icon that looks like a chain. This will bring up the "Hyperlink" dialog box. Insert the address to your website here, and for the Target, choose New Window from the dropdown list. Choose insert.


Go down to the bottom of the page and hit SAVE. Now, let's check out your work!

Go to www.southendbusiness.com in another window. Find your Member Profile page, and hit reload on your browser. All the changes you made in the admin tool should be visible on the live website!
