Neighborhood Parents for the Hurley School

The Joseph J. Hurley School is a small K–8 school located at 70 Worcester Street in the South End. This innovative school serves the neighborhood's racially, ethnically, and economically diverse population, and is one of only three bilingual immersion schools in the Boston Public School system. In the school's two-way bilingual program, native Spanish- and native English-speakers learn together, experiencing the core academic curriculum in two languages, and gaining fluency in both English and Spanish. Under the leadership of Principal Marjorie Soto, the Hurley is becoming a model for an integrated urban education.

Neighborhood Parents for the Hurley School is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization which supports the Hurley School in providing an excellent bilingual education for all its students and engaging the South End community and beyond — parents and non-parents alike — in that work.
We accomplish this by collaborating with the principal, teachers, and staff to provide targeted support in the areas of external relations and strategy that will benefit all the students in the school.
